The Parliament has to adopt several important bills aimed to reform judicial and military spheres during this plenary week. Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stressed this, opening Conciliatory Council meeting on Monday.
According to him, this week is important in view of the necessity to adopt in entirety the law on Anticorruption Bureau in order to “establish efficient mechanism for fighting corruption.”
According to the Chairperson of the Parliament, “the law on fair trial” is another important legislative act to be considered and adopted by the Verkhovna Rada this week. Volodymyr Groysman claimed that it is necessary to do everything possible to deprive the courts of corruptive component. In this context, he expressed hope that deputy factions will elaborate an adjusted standing on this bill.
The Verkhovna Rada plans also to consider several laws on reforming the system of Ministry of Internal Affairs and defense sector.
Volodymyr Groysman expressed hope that Head of the State will refer the bill on the responsibility of bank owners to the Parliament in the nearest time. “There is a problem when depositors suffer, while owners, who have withdrawn their funds abroad, bear no responsibility. This issue should be settled within the framework of the law,” he said.
